Happy New Year all, and welcome to 2015! Every year it’s always the same thing: what are your New Year’s resolutions? Did you actually do any of your resolutions from last year? Or are you one of those people that reject the entire notion of resolutions?
Me? I go back and forth. I have made resolutions in the past. Some times it’s the “i’m going to go to the gym every day!” (Yeah, we all know how that one goes.) but other times I make a resolution to better my life, to better my self. Something that’s not superficial or even based on physical appearance.
This year i’m trying something a little bit different. I’m just aiming to make 2015 better than 2014 completely. For me, 2014 was an extremely lackluster year. Sure, I was employed full time, living on my own, and supporting myself. But something was still missing. That spark that made me passionate about what I was doing, how I was living.
This year i’ve decided to chase what I want. Take a chance, even if that means I risk failing completely and landing on my ass. I want to chase passion. I want to chase love. I want to chase being a twenty-something. I want to live life like i’m in my early twenties. Because, news flash! I am. Instead i’ve been living like i’m closer to thirty, all settled and not able to make a change.
Now is the time for me to take risks, make mistakes, and maybe, just maybe, it will all pay off. I will find that spark that makes me passionate about life again. So that’s my resolution. Make 2015 better than ever before.
